How does the process of installing an asphalt driveway work?

In the meantime, we will organise any permit approvals that are needed to proceed with work. On the day, we will start by excavating the area that is due to have the driveway on it. The road base is then laid to the excavated area, it is rolled and then compacted. Once complete, the asphalt is then laid. How thick your asphalt driveway will be will depend on your specific driveway needs. If you have heavy vehicles that will be driving on it and parking on your asphalt, it is better to lay it thicker to prevent potholes from forming from the additional weight.
